Riley's Reasons

Supporting our community

For six years, we've been supporting our local community in delivering Riley's Kids Camps. We've planned, delivered and most importantly; observed. We see our community, and the changing dynamic of Nottingham and see gaps in the system.

We always go 'above and beyond', to ensure each child that walks through our doors, experience the best time, the best activities and lead by the best Coaches. We ensure each family feels confident in choosing Riley's as a provider; whether that be for childcare, or simply just for their child to have fun in the holidays. 2025 see's the introduction of Riley's Reasons, another 'above and beyond' moment for us.

For some families in our community, there are Reasons why attending Riley's just isn't a priority, and we get it. We have allocated completely free spaces, every day, for families who just need that extra bit of support from us... welcome to Riley's Reasons.

Is this different from HAF?

During Easter, Summer and October, we are proud providers of the HAF programme. This programme allows benefit related free school meal children the opportunity to attend our provision for free. We wanted to extend this, in a Riley's way, for our wider community too.

Who can access the Riley's Reasons spaces?

If you are eligible for the HAF programme (benefit related free school meals) you are eligible for free places in Easter, Summer and October at Riley's. We have introduced Riley's Reasons, for everyone. Anyone can apply for free spaces at our holiday clubs all year round, and tell us your Reason

What Reason would qualify for free spaces?

We are a small, family run business that understands that life can be challenging sometimes. We've found, over the years that sometimes, we all need a bit of help from time-to-time. The Reason for applying for free spaces to attend our camps, could be anything from the HAF programme not covering February and May holidays and you need your child to attend so you can continue to work (but can't afford to pay), to families that do not qualify for benefit related free school meals but would really benefit from their child attending our provision but funds are very tight. Reasons such as family bereavements and children coming to us would be a welcomed distraction in their time of need, to families just having a hard time affording childcare.

How do I apply?

Simply fill out the contact form below, and we will be in touch to discuss. Each application for this programme will receive a scheduled phone call to talk through your situation, and our team will review all applications together and inform the families that have been successful. We have allocated a set number of spaces at our camps that are for Riley's Reasons families, and hope to help as many families as we can facilitate. Your application will be kept confidential, however we reserve the right to share your application with your child(s) school Nottingham County Council to cross check your details. We respectfully reserve the right to decline applications, with no explanation given. We have no idea how popular the demand will be, so please bare with us in this initiative, as we navigate helping our local community.
